So, it’s Saturday, it’s kind of gloomy outside and the kids are playing without fighting. So what does a mom do with free time? Wel
l.. I could think of a million things but I love my kids so I made… homemade granola bars! Yes, you heard me right.. homemade.. and it was sooo sooo easy and quick. I have been on a roll with homemade foods these last few weeks and I’ll share some of it in the next few posts before I go back to more photography related post..
On a side note, I am thrilled my mom (the lady who took most of the awesome pics I feature on my blog) will be here to visit in less than 2 weeks. She will stay for 4 weeks. I will make a post about that as well. Anyway, I am sure you are curious about the granola bars. First off, they are delicious! I can’t say the recipe is entirely mine or even most.. I got the recipe from the blog “Back to the cutting board” and I will link it at the end. I played with her recipe a bit so I will post what I did with a link to the original at the end.
Line 9×13 pan with parchment paper and keep a small square pan ready just in case.
It is so easy to do and tastes so yummy! Obviously for a healthier version omit the chocolate and peanut butter chips. You can create anything you like with this recipe really. I am not done playing with it at all. There are so many combinations you can come up with. I am working on a Christmas version I will post when we get closer to that special time! At the end I will post a German version for my German friends and family who have different measuring values.
I tried to take some pics hope it looks as yummy as they taste! Let me know if you tried them or if you will try them!
So, ich hoff das hilft! My best friend in Germany, Sheila saw me post on facebook and asked if I could share the recipe. I love social media and how wonderfully easy you can share things with all your friends and family and people you don’t know! This is the link to the original poster http://backtothecuttingboard.com/dessert/no-bake-chewy-granola-bars/
Let me know what you think and by all means share! Just remember to give credit where credit is due 🙂
